Does God Prefer Debt-Free Virgins without Tattoos?

Here is the post:

I saw this yesterday on the internet. People from all over got triggered. I’m not supporting the full content of the blog post, or the reasons why the woman posted it. But, this woman accidentally stomped on a religious and cultural nerve and people responded.

Men Prefer Debt-Free Virgins Without Tattoos

This group is called “Reconstructing the Family” and that implies that there is something wrong with the modern family that needs to be rebuilt.

This blog post stumbled onto one aspect of the family that needs to be rebuilt and that is the character and religious convictions of our children. We as parents have the duty and responsibility to cultivate in our children these two things: Christian Character and Religious Convictions.

Christianity for far too long has been divorced from reality, the idea that the only thing that matters is what is on the inside has dominated the church for ages. This is an anti-Biblical doctrine.

So we have to ask ourselves the obvious question: Does God prefer debt-free virgins without tattoos?
And the next question should be asked: “Should we as parents teach our children (male and female) to prefer debt-free virgins without tattoos?”

The answer to both is, yes.

The focus isn’t about shaming those who are in debt, are non-virgins, or covered in tattoos. People miss this when it comes to these types of discussions. Mostly because people are trying to demonize and shame others the vast majority of the time. But, Christians are to say and do those things that will help, instruct, and edify others only.

I’ll be doing a short podcast episode on this subject soon and discuss this with Biblical reference, etc.

If we are going to Reconstruct the Family, and the concept of the family, we first have to know what the family should look like, act like, and promote.

In reference to this post:
1. God does want His people to be and live debt free.
2. God does want His people who are non-married men and women to be virgins.
3. God does want his people to be tattoo free.

Reconstruction is setting the standard that is to be worked toward. As parents, we are to want our children to live and do better than ourselves.

Do you find that as a parent the above three did not describe you, or doesn’t currently? So what? You are not the standard. God’s law is the standard. As parents, we are to teach our children that God’s law is our standard, not us.

Please remember not to fall into the trap I have heard about where people say they cannot ask their children to live up to a standard that they themselves did not live up to.

Hogwash.

The repentant man/woman repents, brushes themselves off, and they then point others to Christ and His law, especially their children.

The only reason the above three points are controversial is that Christianity today is not orthodox in its doctrines and because people wish to self-justify themselves rather than acknowledging they are sinning, or have sinned in the past. (This attitude does not help the person doing this or their children.)

Psalm 51:9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
